The property is over 400 years old and was always owned by the same family until 15 years ago an Austrian took over the estate due to a lack of offspring. The new owner has switched the farm to quality viticulture and holiday at the farm. Therefore, in 2003 the buildings of the estate were renovated and adapted to the new needs in the regional style. The economic spaces became stylish guest rooms, the stables were converted to the Enoteca with guest and breakfast area, and a light-filled event hall was integrated upstairs. The living area with office and wine warehouse has also been modernised and an original tasting and presentation cellar has been set up in the basement. The historic patio invites you to linger on cosy seating facilities, enjoy a good drop alone or in company at any time! Behind the Enoteca there is a well-tended garden with fruit trees, lounging and inviting retreats.

Casa Re is beautifully nestled in the hills of the Langhe/Monferrato next to the historic town of Acqui Terme. So if you are looking for a special wine note away from the standard highlights like Barolo and Alba, you will find it with us. This up-and-coming area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site not least because of its unmistakable landscape and so we are located in one of Piedmont’s sexiest wine-growing areas!
